Who I am

I'm Gaming tardigrade

What more did you want to know?

Past

My actual name is Ethan Galloway, I was born in the UK and have lived there since. I started my first YouTube channel 'Tardigrade studios' in 2017 before abandoning it in preference of Gaming Tardigrade, created in 2018, where I started making live streams. It started with some mobile game I thought was like warframe using omlet arcade. I later deleted those videos. At the time, I also streamed something to do with fortnite but have forgotten much of what it was. I left that platform and my eight followers I had there to go and stream via the PlayStation I had recently obtained. From there I streamed fortnite save the world and was amazed by how many views the stream got. From there, I would make many more streams of me playing it. I learnt about trading in the game and decided to do streams where if people subscribed, they could trade there. I later moved on to do fortnite giveaways for subscribers. This massively grew the channel, in one day on an 8 hour stream getting around 200 more subscribers, from there I would do more streams, peaking at 731 subscribers. Until, one day, I decided to stop. The amount of subscribers started to drop, all the way down to 682. When I uploaded a video, I would loose 1-2 subscribers every video upload. I was okay with it as it meant people who only subscribed for the giveaways left and new people joined who would actually watch the videos and enjoy them. That is currently where my channel is.

The Dark Room:

(The dark room is a live action choose your own adventure game with four choices of action to escape a dark room. it has the promise of 1000 pounds if you win but is impossible to do so)

This was something that happened when I was around 9 years old. My dad was invited to perform at scifi weekender in Sheffield. It was good and all but it really became interesting later on. I met John Robertson (the man who performs the dark room) who was very friendly, a stark contrast to his stage persona. I would be watching the thing happening when I would volunteer to participate. Usually, peoples' name is chosen as 'Darren' regardless of what you pick. I presume because he met me before, he actually called me 'Ethan'. I would go along a path when I found a loophole. There is an option of 'I don't see' that leads back to the same choice. This means that in theory, you can go and do it forever. So that is what I did. The crowds chanted as I did it until I was forced to die as I was doing too well.

I would return the next year in Great Yarmouth for the next scifi weekender. Here I didn't expect to get a go but was called up and carried to the front. Here I was repeating 'I don't see'. The crowd was cheering and chanting my name. At the end of it, I was crowd surfed around a massive room next to an inflatable pineapple. This is an event that feels so unreal yet actually happened.  I was also called 'Ethan Darren Christ' in the first one before I 'died'.

My game dev Journey:

I started properly in 2020, when I got my computer. Making games was something I wanted to do for ages. Before that, I had used scratch and some mobile apps.

Present

I'm currently doing my whole YouTube thing where I'm in the process of making a bunch of YouTube videos for 2023  and developing my skills with game development. I'm also learning German.

Future

???

While I cannot say for sure, I do have ambitions. In the near future, I want to create mobile games, fun projects, some larger computer game and continue growing my channel.
